Comcare works with approximately 1,200 adults at any one time across a range of mental health and addiction support services.
Access to Comcare’s services is generally by referral from Te Whatu Ora – Waitaha Canterbury | Health New Zealand, Specialist Mental Health Teams, General Practice (GPs), or other NGO mental health or addiction service providers.
Some services offer self-referral options (Jobconnect, Peer Support and Activelinks).
Comcare services can be made using the ‘Generic Referral Form’ (except for a Community Support Worker which is through the Community Access Pathway – CAP)
All referrals will be processed by the Triage Practitioner, who will assist with navigation, both within Comcare and the wider sector.
